Tired of same old, same old?  Think your little one might be ready to expand his or her palate?  Try:

  • Blue Koi --  Located on 39th Street, Blue Koi has dumplings, noodles and the famed bubble tea.  
  • Habachi Japanese Steakhouse -- This steakhouse is in Westport, and it's all the shrimp-throwing, onion-volcano fun you can hope to have at a Japanese steakhouse.
  • Taj Mahal -- Great Indian food in Waldo.
  • Tasso's -- THERE IS A BELLY DANCER HERE.  The Greek food is okay, but belly dancing is so worth staying up late.  Opa!

Another great place is Po's Dumplings on 39th Street. It's just a block East of Blue Koi, but without the horrible wait. We love the food and have never had to wait long for our meal. My girl loves their chicken and she tells everyone that they "have good white rice." Whatever that means - it's her favorite!


Definitely agree on the Blue Koi. Very good "grown-up" food, but I wouldn't feel weird taking my five year old niece there.
