President's Day, the Real Ones.

So, I know we all celebrated President's Day LAST Monday, with an official bank holiday and school being out and such. But did you know the actual President George Washington's birthday was actually yesterday, February 22nd? And Lincoln's was February 12th? And that President's Day as a holiday first came up in Congress in 1968, where it was ultimately decided to put it right in the middle of the two presidential birthdays? 

 There's all kinds of fun facts about our National Leaders and their birthdays.  And seeing how it's still usually pretty cold in February, feel free to snuggle up on the couch with your laptop and read all about why we celebrate President's Day with your kids.  It's like playing on the computer, and learning, all rolled up into one.
